I like to think that in Mass Effect 2 Shepard becomes a mental support structure for Alex. In Mass Effect 3 The roles become slightly reversed as Shepard begins to succumb to the stress of battling an entire reaper invasion.

She and Alex are separated for the duration of the first section of the game (during which Shepard believes Alex to be dead, adding to her stress) and reunited during the Cerberus assault on the Citadel.

All this from the invisible fan fiction in my head that I have no time to write down. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧彡┻━┻

Pity you have no time I'm sure it would be great. I love the comic you're doing for them, you've got a lot of talent. I also enjoy the random oneshots you do for them. Prototype and Mass Effect make for good cross over because Mass Effect is set so far in the future you can easily combine the two universes into one instead of doing the random portal to an alternate dimension thing which doesn't always work that well. Anyway Keep up the good work!

I actually have found a "link" between Mass Effect & Prototype. Despite the games being made by different companies.
Have recently played Prototype 2's storyline through, which helps matters even more actually...

Huh, seems my ME1/ME2 fShep's eye color is ironically the same or as close as it can get to Mercer's blue/silver.
Also my Shep's renegade for the most part, so they should get along fine. (my shep being Earthborn/Ruthless, no family but there are characters she'd consider family)

Also, despite her being Renegade she is friends with the Justicar Samara, oddly enough.
